HOUSE WITH MOLD
One of the most common problems we deal with is mold growth on walls, which can be localized in some areas or so widespread that it even affects furniture and clothing. We conduct an on-site inspection using specialized equipment to measure ambient and surface temperatures as well as air humidity, which allows us to pinpoint the cause of the problem and resolve it safely and effectively.
THERMAL BRIDGES AND RISING DAMP: THERMOGRAPHY
Among the main causes of plaster deterioration, moisture, and mold are certainly thermal bridges in masonry—that is, points where heat loss is so high that it creates condensation and moisture. Another cause of deterioration is salt deposits resulting from rising damp within the masonry, which causes blistering, peeling, efflorescence, and mold. In both cases, a technical instrumental analysis of the problem allows us to determine the cause and design the most appropriate solution. In these cases, it is essential to complement the instrumental analysis with a thermographic inspection, performed by our certified partner, which allows us to see within the masonry what is hidden from the naked eye.

SICK BUILDING SYNDROME
Some may have heard of it as SBS (Sick Building Syndrome, the term used by the WHO), and it essentially refers to a set of symptoms associated with prolonged exposure to discomfort in unhealthy buildings. Many people think it is linked to obviously dilapidated buildings, but in reality this is not the case, and it can occur in any environment. Often linked to the presence of airborne mold spores, paint fumes, allergens, carbon monoxide, and dust, it can therefore occur in any environment where the selection of materials and air quality control have not been properly managed. It is not a disease, but rather the manifestation of symptoms such as headaches, respiratory tract irritation, or a sensation of difficulty breathing, drowsiness, fatigue, and eye irritation—these are warning signs that, if neglected, can obviously lead to actual illnesses.
